The poor afflicted young girls of Salem have sniffed out another witch. Shockingly, she was hiding behind a the perfect disguise - a devout member of the church and respected matron, Martha Cory.
Martha defended herself in court by saying she couldn’t torment the girls because she’s “A gospel woman.” In response, a girl yelled, “She’s a gospel witch!”
Ooooh, she got you there, Martha! Well said, gurl!!
